Recently, the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences released its List of the National Social Science Fund for key projects to study and interpret the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. As the principal investigator of the project, Professor Chen Binkai, the chief economist of the GESD, applied for the research topic“Research on the organic combination of implementing the strategy of expanding domestic demand and deepening the structural reform of supply-side”, which was approved as one of the key projects.

The National Social Science Fund for special project to study and interpret the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee aims to organize in-depth research to interpret the new ideas , new viewpoints and new conclusions of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, to vigorously promote the theoretical innovation based on practice, to emphatically produce the major achievements with theory of persuasion, practical guiding significance and reference value for decision-making, to promote and implement the spirit and to provide strong theoretical support for the all-round construction of a modern socialist country.
